Enter dating website Simple Pickup – they did a social experiment with the hot online dating app. They made profiles of a thin man and thin woman and made them to look fat using prosthetics and padding. The outcomes? The guys that turned-up were anywhere on the scale from rude to hateful re: their date’s look, just 1 of the 5 men agreed to stay on the date with the woman.

On the flip side – the women were nicer. None of the women fat-shamed their male partner. And 3 of them stayed with their date till the end, and one of the women even gave the guy a kiss. To be honest, we were stunned that no one in the experiment perceived their likely dates were having on fat suits to start with!
